Chapter 1: The Monkey King is born.

The stone monkey closed its eyes and jumped into the waterfall. It felt like it was not in water, so it opened its eyes and looked around. It found itself standing on an iron bridge, with water rushing through a hole under the bridge and hanging upside down, covering the entrance so that no one outside could see inside. The stone monkey crossed the bridge and found that this was a wonderful place. There were stone chairs, stone beds, stone basins, stone bowls, everything.

It looked like someone had lived here not long ago. The house was natural and quiet, and pots, bowls, ladles, and basins were neatly placed on the stove. In the middle there was a stone tablet with these words carved on it: Flower Fruit Mountain Blessed Land, Water Curtain Cave Heaven. The stone monkey was overjoyed and hurriedly turned around and walked out. It jumped out of the cave with a whoosh.

The monkeys saw the stone monkey come out, and he had no injuries on his body. They were both surprised and happy, and they surrounded him and asked him about the situation inside. The stone monkey scratched his cheeks and scratched his itch, smiling and saying to everyone: “There is no water inside, it is a good place to settle down. When there is a strong wind, we have a place to hide, and when it rains heavily, we are not afraid of getting wet.” The monkeys heard this and jumped up and down with joy.

The monkeys followed the stone monkey through the waterfall and entered the Water Curtain Cave. They saw so many good things inside, and they scrambled for them. Some took basins, some took bowls, some occupied stoves, some fought for beds. They moved things around until they were exhausted. The monkeys kept their promise and made the stone monkey their king. The stone monkey ascended the throne and dropped the word “stone” from his name, calling himself “Monkey King”.
