He explained to the master and asked for forgiveness.
Bodhi Patriarch saw that Sun Wukong had just learned some skills and started to show off. He was very angry. He told the others to leave and scolded Wukong severely. He also wanted to drive Sun Wukong away. Sun Wukong was anxious and begged the Patriarch not to send him away. But the Patriarch refused to keep him and made him swear: he must never say that Sun Wukong was Bodhi Patriarch’s disciple at any time.
