The Jade Emperor heard the report and was furious. He ordered Li Tianwang and Nezha Taizi to lead one hundred thousand heavenly soldiers and generals, set up eighteen layers of heaven and earth nets, and capture Wukong back. But the heavenly soldiers and generals were no match for Wukong. They all lost one by one. So Guanyin Bodhisattva suggested that Erlang God from Guanjiangkou come to Flower Fruit Mountain to capture Sun Wukong.
Erlang God obeyed, led his six brothers from Meishan, selected some elite soldiers and generals, and killed towards Flower Fruit Mountain. He asked Li Tianwang to hold up a demon-revealing mirror in the air and shine it on Wukong. He himself went to challenge Wukong in front of Shuiliandong cave. Wukong came out of the cave to fight, and fought with Erlang God evenly. The six brothers of Meishan saw that Wukong couldn’t take care of them at this time, so they took advantage of the opportunity and killed into Shuiliandong cave.
Wukong saw that his lair was destroyed. He panicked and turned into a sparrow to run away. Erlang God shook his body and turned into an eagle that catches sparrows. He flapped his wings and pecked at the sparrow. Wukong quickly turned into a big cormorant bird and rushed into the sky. Erlang God hurriedly turned into a big crane and flew into the clouds to catch him. Wukong saw this and flew into the water with a whoosh, turning into a fish.
