Chapter 4: From the Five Elements Mountain, Wukong follows the master.

With a gust of wind, a group of demons appeared and captured the master and servants. Tang Monk secretly looked up and saw a fierce-looking demon king sitting above. The demon king ordered, and the demons tied up Tang Monk and his servants. Then a little demon came to report: “Bear Mountain Lord and Special Envoy are here!”

The demon king hurriedly went out to greet them. The two called the demon king General Yin. General Yin planned to entertain his guests with Tang Monk and his servants. Bear Mountain Lord said: “Today, let’s just eat two of them.” So, General Yin cut open the stomachs and dug out the hearts of Tang Monk’s two servants, and ate them alive. Tang Monk almost fainted.

The sky was about to dawn, and the demons all hid away. Tang Monk was scared silly, and fell asleep in a daze. Suddenly, an old man with a cane came slowly towards him, waved his hand, and the ropes that bound Tang Monk broke. He blew a breath at him, and Tang Monk woke up. He quickly bowed to thank the old man, who said: “This place is called Double Fork Ridge, a dangerous place.”

The old man asked Tang Monk to take his baggage, lead his horse, and led him to the main road. Tang Monk quickly tied up his horse, ready to thank him, but when he looked up, he saw that the old man had already flown away on a red-crowned white crane. A piece of paper fell from the sky, and Tang Monk picked it up and read it. He realized that the old man was Great White Plane, and quickly bowed to the sky repeatedly.
