Chapter 4: From the Five Elements Mountain, Wukong follows the master.

Not long after, the two of them left the Tang Dynasty border. Suddenly, a big tiger jumped out of the bushes. Sun Wukong quickly put down the luggage, took out his golden cudgel from his ear, and excitedly said, "Old Sun hasn't used this treasure for over five hundred years. Today, I'll use it to get some clothes!" With that, he swung his cudgel and struck the tiger with all his might, killing it on the spot.

Seeing this, Tang Monk was so shocked that he couldn't close his mouth. Wukong plucked a single hair, transformed it into a sharp knife, skinned the tiger, and made a skirt to wrap around his waist. Then, with utmost respect, he helped Tang Monk onto the horse, and the two continued on their journey. Suddenly, there was a whistle, and six bandits jumped out, intending to rob them of their horse and luggage.

Wukong put down the luggage, smiling, he said, "I used to be a mountain king myself. How about you share half of the treasures and jewels you've stolen with me?" Hearing this, the bandits were so angry that their hairs stood on end. They charged at Wukong with their weapons, but after seventy or eighty strikes, they couldn't even hurt a single hair on Wukong's body.

Seeing the bandits were tired, Wukong shouted, "It's my turn to have some fun!" He took out his golden cudgel and with a few swings, the six bandits were turned into mincemeat. Tang Monk, upon seeing this, said unhappily, "Even if they were bandits, you didn't have to kill them all. With such cruelty, how can you journey to the West to obtain the scriptures? Amitabha."
