Chapter 10: Zhu Bajie’s Failed Marriage with the Four Bodhisattvas

At this time, Bajie’s cry came from the woods: “Master, come and save me, I will never dare again!” Tang Monk, Wukong and Sha Monk followed the sound and saw that Pig Bajie was tied tightly and hung on a tree shouting. Wukong walked over and teased him: “Why did the groom run to the tree to swing and perform acrobatics instead of staying in the bridal chamber?”

Sha Monk saw it and felt sorry for Bajie’s suffering. He let him down. Bajie knew he was wrong, lowered his head, asked his master for forgiveness, and said that he had learned his lesson and wanted to go with his master to get the scriptures. So Tang Monk led his three disciples, thanked the Bodhisattvas in the air, then mounted the white horse, and happily went to the west.
